A new build 24 bed extra care facility . A very complex project as many of the services had to be integrated with the old Sycamore House Development. There were a number of communal lounges and a laundrette for residents; there were also offices with sleep over facilities for staff. With 65 meter long corridors through the buildings, we installed double stacking containment systems to manage the amount of services. All units were served from one central boiler; we undertook all wiring and connections. We supplied, installed and commissioned an access control system which had to work alongside a number of dormer automatic doors. The project is phase 1 of a scheme which will be redeveloping a total of 70 extra care units.
